When evaluating an event or project, consider:

Do they go beyond bottles and cans?
Do they address high diversion?
Do they look to the future?
Are the initiatives goals and objectives SMART – Specific, Measurable, Appropriate, Relevant or Realistic and Transferable?

Every November 15 is America Recycles Day! A national project of Keep America Beautiful, it is an opportunity every recycling program and businesses should utilize one way or another. No harm in re-branding an existing Autumn event as an America Recycles Day and take advantage of the synergy. No one is checking if the event is registered on the ARD website nor actually if it is on or even near November 15!

Here are a few events for your review. If there are 2 links, click on each. Don’t forget the video at the end!
