Advanced Zero Waste Planning

The Advanced Zero Waste Planning Course is designed to deliver in-depth instruction on tools used in Zero Waste Planning. In addition, participants will learn how to understand Material Characterization studies and standard metrics used in Zero Waste planning. Participants will get instructions on Zero Waste USA’s planning toolkit, which precedes the advanced tools. The advanced Zero Waste planning tools taught in this course include the Diversion Potential and Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Analysis and the Cost Estimate Tool. There is no homework or quizzes, but plenty of supplementary reading materials are located in the Canvas classroom. A Certificate of Completion is issued after the class.
This course is intended for those who work directly on creating Zero Waste plans for businesses, institutions, or communities. During this class, advanced Zero Waste planning concepts and tools are taught. Excel skills are required. The Introduction to Zero Waste Class or Zero Waste Associates Course is the prerequisite.
